All animated sequences from the episode, edited together
This episode of "One Song" tells the story behind “Nothing Will Hurt Me” by Knesiyat HaSechel. The animation was designed to accompany the lyrics without taking over, leaving room for an episode that is already heavy with grief.
The concept: packing for a final journey, knowing there is no return.
Developed with art directors True Twins, the illustrations shift between extreme close-ups, like a foot or a hand, and distant views of an anonymous figure. Together they express both the personal and the collective grief of bereavement.
Color: a muted, melancholic palette with small touches of strong red. The red is deliberately a little too loud, flickering in the eye and feeling slightly off-balance. It carries a sad energy that matches the song’s own. As the episode describes, “Nothing Will Hurt Me” is not a typical memorial song but a cry.
